Two Pound Coin

The image on the 2007 £2 coin is to mark the 300th Anniversary of the Act of Union of the Parliaments of England and Scotland, a controversial topic.

I deliberately steered away from politics and went back to basics in applying the 2 plant badges, that of the rose and the thistle and incorporating that with 2 portcullis, a well known image for government. The final element is that of a jigsaw to marry and connect the 4 sections.
