Emblem of the Supreme Court

The emblem shows the plant badges of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland surrounded by Omega the ultimate letter in the Greek alphabet.

It is also visually similar to the astrological sign of Libra.The official badge of the Supreme Court was adopted in October 2008 and the image has been adapted as an image on soft furnishings, glass screens, carpets and items of furniture as well as on the robes of the judges who sit in the Supreme Court.
