De Moffarts Foundation

This bookplate was hand drawn in pencil on illustrators board and completed using Indian ink to define the fine detail.

This bookplate was the winning design for the International Baron Andre de Moffarts’ Heraldry Prize 2012. The entrants were asked to design a bookplate for the organisation to use.

The brief asked us to incorporate 3 Achievements of Arms into the design. It became apparent to me that it was not going to be successful to use all of the three coats and so I elected to use the 3 Crests. It made for a simpler and more effective result.
